The Chernobyl accident in 1986 was the result of a flawed reactor design that was operated with inadequately trained personnel. The resulting steam explosion and fires released at least 5% of the radioactive reactor core into the environment, with the deposition of radioactive materials in many parts of Europe.

Boston Dynamics is an American engineering and robotics design company founded in 1992 as a spin-off from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is best known for the development of a series of dynamic highly-mobile robots, including BigDog, Spot, Atlas, and Handle.

You can now buy Spot for yourself. Cost: $74,500. Which really, if you have some big cash to throw around, isn’t a bad price. And for other people with no cash to throw around, to be honest … it’s just a little more pricier than buying a pedigree or blended puppy! I’m joking, but not really.
